Selecting software should be the last decision in an ERP project, not the first. That answer disappoints a lot of owners who ask which system we recommend, because the honest response is usually: we don’t know yet — not until we understand how the business actually operates.
Most ERP failures trace back to skipping the groundwork. Process clarity, data integrity, and organizational alignment have to come before vendor selection, not after. A platform decision made before that foundation is in place is a guess dressed up as a strategy.
